Simple downloads from YouTube
There are many programs for downloading YouTube videos, and this little app YouChoob chooses simplicity as a way to stand out from the crowd.
YouChoob downloads easily and quickly. The simple interface requires you to paste in the URL of your chosen video, then click 'download' and off it goes. There is a preview window and a download progress bar. A gray banner turns yellow when in progress and green once finished.
You can open multiple YouChoob windows to download videos simultaneously, although this can leave your desktop pretty cluttered. Files are downloaded in FLV format, which is still not the most useful format, so you may need a further program to convert or play your downloads.
There are better integrated download programs available with more features, but for simplicity you can't ask for more than YouChoob
